Playmakers Soccer Academy – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Playmakers Academy! These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of playmakersacademy.info and participation in our soccer programs. By accessing this website or enrolling in our classes, we assume you accept these terms in full.

1. Our Community & Safety

At Playmakers, our goal is to get kids moving and loving the game! By joining us on the pitch, you’re becoming part of a team that values fun and fair play.

The Gear: We want the kids to be comfortable. Activewear and runners/boots are perfect. Please note that shinpads are not a requirement for our sessions, though you are welcome to wear them if you prefer!

Bumps & Tumbles: We do everything we can to keep things safe, but soccer is an active sport. By enrolling, you acknowledge that minor injuries can happen and agree that Playmakers Soccer Academy and our coaches aren’t liable for injuries or accidents during our sessions.

In an Emergency: If a player needs medical help, we’ll call the contact number we have. If we can’t reach you and it’s an emergency, you give us the go-ahead to call for an ambulance or medical help at the parent’s expense. Safety is our number one priority and we will prioritize it. Please ensure the enrolment phone number is the correct number as this is our default phone number in the case of emergency. As well please ensure any medical condition is stated as our coaches will use this in the case of emergency to assist them.

2. Respecting the Academy

Equipment Care: We love seeing the kids use our gear. However, if equipment is deliberately damaged or taken from the academy with wrong intentions, we reserve the right to charge the cost of repair or replacement to the parent/guardian.

Good Vibes Only: We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or aggressive behavior. We reserve the right to end an enrollment (without a refund) if a student or parent’s behavior makes the environment unsafe for others.

3. Photos & Memories

We love capturing big goals and smiles! We occasionally take photos or videos to share on our social media or website. If you’d like your child to sit out, just email us and we’ll make sure they stay off the camera.

4. Melbourne Weather & Class Updates

We usually play through light rain, but if it’s looking unsafe (lightning or extreme heat), we’ll put safety first.

Quick Updates: If we cancel, a coach will notify you via SMS or email around 30 minutes before the session starts.

Make-up Sessions & Credits: While we don't offer refunds for weather, we do offer make-up classes. A coach will notify you on the day regarding the plan. Generally, make-up classes are added to the end of the term or provided as a credit towards the next term.

5. Keeping the Ball Rolling (Enrollments)

Securing a Spot: A child’s place is confirmed once payment is received. We plan our staffing and ground hire based on these numbers to ensure a quality experience for every player.

Notice Period & Eligibility: If you need to withdraw from the term entirely, we require at least 14 days' notice before the term begins to offer a refund or credit. Refund eligibility is determined at the sole discretion of Playmakers Academy and is typically reserved for instances where a service cannot be fulfilled as described.

Missed Classes & Credits: We generally cannot offer refunds for sessions missed due to holidays, personal commitments, or "change of mind." However, up to 3 weeks of credit can be applied per term at our discretion, unless otherwise specified by a coach.

Weather & Cancellations: In the event of inclement weather or coach unavailability, Playmakers Academy reserves the right to issue a credit note for a future session in lieu of a monetary refund.

Planned Absences: If you know you will be missing a class, please contact Coach Daniel at 0448 882 557 ahead of time. He will assist you with your enrollment and any potential credits. If required altered Enrolments can be discussed to adjust for time off/holidays.

6. Website Use & Digital Terms

Use License: Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of materials on our website for personal, non-commercial viewing only.

Disclaimer: Materials on the website are provided "as is." Playmakers Academy makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of the digital materials.

Limitations: In no event shall Playmakers Academy or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including loss of data or profit) arising out of the use or inability to use the website materials.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The State of Victoria, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State.
